Liza Ely, M.S., is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Founding Director and Owner of the Center of Well-Being. Liza holds a BA in Sociology/Social work and a Master's of Science in Psychology. She actively consults with businesses, churches, and holistic medical practices while providing workshops and training throughout the country and on an international basis.

Liza is the entertaining and inspiring author of "See More, Hear More, Feel More", a delightfully simple and clear manual to discovering your love style, living more, and enhancing couple communication. She is also a contributing author to "More Random Acts of Kindness", and "Spiritual Autographs-Southern Women tell their Stories".

Liza has had an extensive career as an adult educator. She was a psychology instructor at Tyler Junior College, she taught organization and wellness at a five-state leadership program, and taught intercultural communication at the University of Texas at Tyler.

Liza has been a very active member of the East Texas community for over 25 years. She is a former executive board member with the Mental Health Association, she was the community chair of the Random Acts of Kindness Committee for three years, and she is a former member of the Board of Directors of the East Texas Crisis Center. Liza was also a Congressional Consultant for a five state district for six years.

Liza is extremely passionate about her volunteer work with Pachamama Alliance, an international non-profit that is contributing to the creation of a new global vision of equity and sustainability for all. As a facilitator/presenter, Liza was recently filmed for a PBS "to be" televised introduction of the highly educational symposium, "Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream".

Liza offers life changing retreats and workshops that are both inspirational and practical. She also has a personal and couple counseling practice at the Land of Ease near Lindale, TX and in Tyler, TX.

Combining different therapeutic approaches, she has developed a model that facilitates individuals moving quickly from a place of pain and heightened stress into a life of possibilities and well-being. Her goal with each client is to hold a space for deep healing and to provide tools for a life of intention. "By identifying and claiming those parts within ourselves that give us our nurturance and strength, we no longer search for something or someone outside of us for our comfort or safety," she explains. "It is then that we are able to have loving and fulfilling relationships and a successful life."

"I live my life work of sharing the message of peace, wellness, and simplicity," Liza states. "Living in the woods of East Texas keeps me close to nature and reminds me of my spiritual ideal of living love." Her two grown daughters, Laura and Deanna, share the vision of healing and peace through their own lifework.
